PHYSICAL BOOKS
Books 12-5-15

Purchased
Sever (The Chemical Garden #3) by Lauren DeStefano – I really debated about buying this. I have Wither, but I don’t have Fever and I’m not crazy about the way this one ends. But it was only $2, so I gave in.
The Isle Of The Lost (Descendants #1) by Melissa De La Cruz – This book sounds so interesting and the back cover is ssssoooo pretty. Plus, I am a Disney junkie, so how can I not want to read something about the villians descendants.
Hollow City (Miss Peregrine’s Peculiar Children) by Ransom Riggs – I have heard nothing but great things about this series. I can’t wait to give it a try!
Torn (Torn #1) by Erica O’Rourke – I’ll be honest, the description of this doesn’t sound super appealing, but I LOVED O’Rourke’s Dissonance, so I want to give her other books a shot as well!
Tangled (Torn #2) by Erica O’Rourke – And when I do get around to it, I’ll have the second one on hand just in case I love it!
Angelfall (Penryn & The End Of Days #1) by Susan Ee – This book has been all over booktube for a while now and everyone just LOVES it. I can’t wait to see what all the fuss is about.
Geek Drama (Geek Girl #2.5) by Holly Smale – I’ve made no secret of the fact that I adore this series. After I won an Amazon gift card and when this was only $0.01 plus shipping, I couldn’t resist adding it to my collection. I know I’ll never be able to find it cheaper here in the US…..if it ever gets released here.

Gifted
Harry Potter & The Sorcerer’s Stone (The Illustrated Edition) (Harry Potter #1) by J K Rowling & Jim Kay – I know Christmas is still a month away, but my mom went ahead and bought this for me. It’ll probably be my only present, but it’s so worth it. It’s sooooo pretty.

For Review
A Wicked Way To Win An Earl (Sutherland Scandals #1) by Anna Bradley – This sounds sssoooo good! And I really like the UK cover over our US one.

That’s it for me this week. I’m still broke as fuck, but I couldn’t stop myself from splurging on Black Friday. I picked this up all used at a local bookstore and I shopped some on Amazon and Book Outlet, so you should be seeing those in next week’s haul. What did you get this week? Let me know in the comments!

PHYSICAL BOOKS
Books 11-28-15

Purchased
Generation Dead (Generation Dead #1) by Mark Waters – I actually already own this book in paperback, but I have the rest of the series in hardback, so this will make them look so pretty together.
Rules Of Attraction (Perfect Chemistry #2) by Simone Elkeles – When I bought this, I wasn’t sure if I owned it already or not. I knew I already had a paperback copy of Perfect Chemistry, but I couldn’t remember this one. For two bucks, I couldn’t not get it. I checked, I do own it already. So yay for multiple copies.
Chain Reaction (Perfect Chemistry #3) by Simone Elkeles – I’m glad I found a copy of this in hardcover because I don’t like the paperback redesign or the newer series redesign. Now, I have to re-buy Perfect Chemistry in hardcover so they all match. Why? Because I’m OCD like that.

Queen (The Blackcoat Rebellion #3) by Aimee Carter – I’m already almost finished with this. I’ve really enjoyed the previous books in this series and I’m pretty excited to see how it all wraps up. So far, it’s fantastic.

Purchased
Winter (The Lunar Chronicles #4) by Marisa Meyer – I pre-ordered this MONTHS ago. I did so immediately after learning that Meyer would be doing an event in Raleigh that I would find a way to attend. I knew that when the release date came around, I would be too broke to afford it, so I paid ahead and now I own this beautiful book. I’m listening to the audio version as I type this. I’m not even halfway finished yet, but it’s amazing.

Audiobooks 11-14-15
Winter (The Lunar Chronicles #4) by Marissa Meyer – I also needed the audiobook. Russell and I have listened to this entire series together, so I knew we’d need to listen to this one as well. We started it on the way home from the event Friday night and will probably have it finished by Sunday night, despite the fact that it’s 23.5 hours long. This is the first audiobook I’ve ever paid (mostly) full price. The pre-oreder price wasn’t quite as high as the number on the box, but it was a lot. I’ve only ever bought used version or Book Outlet bargains before this.

PHYSICAL BOOKS

Purchased
Here Be Monsters! (The Ratbridge Chronicles #1) by Alan Snow – Around this time last year my husband and I saw an amazing film. It’s was smart and funny and sweet and completely original. It was called The Boxtrolls. While watching the credits, we saw that it was based on a book and immediately went out to purchase it. At the time, we got the newer paperback edition that had the Boxtroll stills on the cover. When I saw the original hardback on BookOutlet for less than I paid for the paperback, I had to have it.
My True Love Gave To Me by A BUNCH OF YA AUTHORS! Edited by Stephanie Perkins – I love Anna & The French Kiss (Who doesn’t?!?) and I need to have anything else Perkins works on.
Cruel Beauty (Cruel Beauty Universe #1) by Rosamund Hodge – I loved this book when I read it last year. Plus, it has a GORGEOUS cover and I need it on my shelf.
Ruin And Rising (The Grisha #3) by Leigh Bardugo – I haven’t actually read anything by Bardugo yet. ::hides:: I know, I know. I just haven’t gotten around to it. I completely plan on doing it. I have actually already informed my husband that after we get finished with the Harry Potter audiobooks, this series is what we are listening to next. I know that will be forever away and the HP marathon is already going to be interrupted by the release of WINTER next week because we NEED to know what happens next. BUT AFTER ALL THAT, it will be this. I actually have all of Bardugo’s books. I bought Shadow & Bone in my very first Book Outlet purchase (back when it was named Book Closeouts), got Siege & Storm as a present and I recently won a GORGEOUS hardcover of Six Of Crows, so now I’m all set to binge on Bardugo.
Picture Perfect (Geek Girl #3) by Holly Smale – As happy as I am to have all the other book in this haul, this is the book that I wanted most. Let’s be real, my husband is still unemployed and I’m completely broke. I don’t ever get spending money these days and I happened to have just a little when this popped up on BookOutlet. This book isn’t even out in the US yet and even if it was, I’m collecting the UK editions anyway. I LOVED the other two books in this series. Model Misfit is one of my all-time favorite books and I’m delighted to have the next installment.

A Ghostly Murder (Ghostly Southern Mysteries #4) by Tonya Kappes – Halloween was just here, so that is the perfect time to
The Match Of The Century (Marrying The Duke #1) by Cathy Maxwell – I used to love Cathy Maxwell when I was in high school, but I was very disappointed with her last series, The Chattan Curse. But I’m excited to see if she has gotten back to her old magic. Seriously, the Cameron Sisters series is one of my favorites, so hopefully this will measure up to that.
My American Duchess by Eloisa James – AAHHH. I love Eloisa James! She’s so talented! I’m ssssoooo excited about this one.
Lady Bridget’s Diary (Cavendish #1) by Maya Rodale – All I really need to know is the hero’s name is Darcy and a lost diary is involved. That’s it. You have my attention. 🙂

First, I went out of my way to make sure you can see those images well. You can click and zoom in the see the details in all their glory. The Renaissance Festival is in town (well, not my town, but about an hour away from me) and my mom was nice enough to pay my way to go. I bought all three of these amps there. There was a map maker that had a ton of hand-drawn maps. He had real places as well as fictional, but obviously I was much more interested in the fictional. Along with the ones I got, which were the Maurader’s Map (WITH MY NAME ON IT!), a map of all the Quidditch teams in the world, and a map of Panem, he also had Wonderland, Hogsmead, Diagon Alley, Hogwarts, Westeros, Equestria, Skyrim, and ssssoo many more that I wanted. Narrowing down my selection was pretty easy. There was a decent sized clearance stack for $5 each and these all came from there. They have minor issues, like lightly visible pencil lines or a small stain, but I’m totally fine with that. I love them. I can’t wait to frame them and see how awesome they look in my library!

That’s all for me this week, but it was a pretty great week! What did you get? Let me know in the comments!
