Inspired by Pop Culture Junkie and the Story Siren, the aim of Showcase Sunday is to highlight our newest books or book related swag and to see what everyone else received for review, borrowed from libraries, bought in bookshops and downloaded onto eReaders each week. PHYSICAL BOOKS
Avon Addicts
When A Scot Ties The Knot (Castles Ever After #3) by Tessa Dare – First up, I have several extra copies of this fabulous book. Look for a giveaway next year!
I’ll Be Home For Christmas (Twilight, Texas #7) by Lori Wilde – This sounds like a fun, holiday read!
Dukes Prefer Blondes (The Dressmakers #4) by Loretta Chase – Interesting sounding HR with a blurb from Julia Quinn? I’m in!
The Duke And I (Bridgertons #1) by Julia Quinn – Speaking of JQ, here are the beautiful new editions of the first four Bridgerton books. It’s been quite a while since I read them, so I’m a little over-excited to give them a re-read.
The Viscount Who Loved Me (Bridgertons #2) by Julia Quinn – I love that the books are being re-released to include their 2nd epilogues included. Of course, this only happens after I bought the bindup of all the 2nd epilogue novellas, but still. It’s pretty cool.
Romancing Mister Bridgerton (Bridgetons #3) by Julia Quinn – This one is particularly special to me. Not only was it my first JQ book (completely spoiling the mystery of Lady Whistledown for me), but it was also one of the first books I purchased for myself, ever. I can’t wait to get behind Colin’s eyes again.
An Offer From A Gentleman (Bridgertons #4) by Julia Quinn – An the Cinderella story. ::sigh:: I’ve missed the Bridgertons!
DIGITAL BOOKS
Author Freebies
Being Jamie Baker (Jamie Baker #1) by Kelly Oram – Because Kelly is awesome, she gave away ebook copies of this to celebrate Christmas. If you click the cover art, I linked it to the post on her website where you can claim a free copy. It looks like it’s still going on, if you want one! Either way, I have genuinely loved everything I’ve read by Kelly and I’m excited to try this one out!
AUDIO BOOKS
For Review
Audible
Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen – I still can’t believe I’m reading P&P for review. That’s a mind-boggling concept. But I’m a little over halfway through already and Rosamund Hodge is a great narrator. I’m absolutely swooning over Darcy, as expected!
SWAG
The awesome Christmas Avon Addicts package came with the cool romance novels coloring book and a few chocolates. The Tyrunt plushie is a Christmas gift from my husband. He’s absolutely adorable (both the plushis and my husband). The Batman Lego clock was a Christmas present from my mom. Neither it or the Pokemon plushie are strictly book blog related, but I like to share my nerd swag!
That’s it for me this week! I huge thank you to the ladies at Avon for the care package. I love it so much. What did you get this week? Did you get any books for Christmas or Hanukkah? Let me know in the comments!
