Inspired by Pop Culture Junkie and the Story Siren, the aim of Showcase Sunday is to highlight our newest books or book related swag and to see what everyone else received for review, borrowed from libraries, bought in bookshops and downloaded onto eReaders each week. PHYSICAL BOOKS
Purchased
Walk The Edge (Thunder Road #2) by Katie McGarry – I always have to have the latest Katie McGarry novel. I already love this book anyway so there was no reason NOT to get it.
Sugar Skulls by Lisa Mantchev & Glenn Dallas – I adored Mantchev’s Theatre Illumiata series and this sounds amazing. Plus, it’s got a gorgeous cover!
Maybe Not (Maybe #1.5) by Colleen Hoover – Colleen Hoover is more or less and autobuy for me. I’ve been avoiding buying this for a while because while I love her, I think $12 for a 120 page novella is excessive. But for $6 online? Gimme.
DIGITAL BOOKS
Amazon Freebies
Power Of The Matchmaker (Power Of The Matchmaker) by Various – I’ve read one of the books in this series, the If We Were A Movie by Kelly Oram one. It was great so I’m interested in seeing other stories in that world.

Audible
Calamity (The Reckoners #3) by Brandon Sanderson – I loved this book. I LLLLLOOOOOVVVVVEEEEDDDD the entire series. It’s high on the recommendation list for me!
Dance With Deception (Scandalous Secrets #1) by Tracy Goodwin – I really enjoyed this one!
Into The Dim (Into The Dim #1) by Janet B Taylor – I really enjoyed this. I gotta be honest, I didn’t see what all the hype was about when I first heard about this novel, but it’s definitely worth it!
Purchased
Audible
A Darker Shade Of Magic (Shades Of Magic #1) by V E Schwab – Yet another book that I adored. Audible had a two books for one credit sale and I couldn’t pass that up!
Charming (Pax Arcana #1) by Elliott James – This novel has grabbed my attention since the moment I first saw the cover. I’m glad to officially own a copy so I can finally read it!
SWAG
I went to the opening weekend for my local drive-in (but soon to be not the ONLY drive-in near me which I’m way too excited about) and they had a table full of these promo posters for Batman Vs Superman. My opinions about the movie aside, I’m a sucker for free swag and posters are one of my favorite things.
That’s what I’ve gotten over the past few weeks! What have you received recently? Let me know in the comments!
