Showcase Sunday #84

Showcase Sunday

Inspired by Pop Culture Junkie and the Story Siren, the aim of Showcase Sunday is to highlight our newest books or book related swag and to see what everyone else received for review, borrowed from libraries, bought in bookshops and downloaded onto eReaders each week. Books 5-30-15

Bitten (Women Of The Otherworld #1) by Kelley Armstrong – I have watched the first season of the show and have a friend who really recommends it. I have actually read a collection of the short stories for it, so I’ve been spoiled for most of the big reveals, but I am still interested in reading the original tale. I enjoyed the first season to an extend and since the novels are (almost) always better, I’m sure I’ll love this series when I get a chance to read it. I’m also excited that I found it in hardcover. That is a big reason I made the purchase because I have book 13 in hardcover and I can’t resist them.
Stolen (Women Of The Otherworld #2) by Kelley Armstrong – And they had book 2 as well! Just 11 more before I have them all! I’ll keep my eyes peeled at thrift stores for them.
Fallen Too Far (Rosemary Beach #1) by Abbi Glines – I try not to buy too many of Abbi’s books. It’s not because I don’t enjoy her work or want to support her as an author. It’s because I already have a BUNCH of her books and I need to read those instead of getting new ones, especially since I’ve yet to read any of her work. I grabbed this immediately for the simple reason that is the original edition published by Glines, not the republished edition. I really like owning those editions. Plus, this is the book by her that I want to read the most.
Nowhere But Here (Thunder Road #1) by Katie McGarry – I LOVED THIS BOOK! I pre-ordered it forever ago because I wanted it and because I wanted to make sure I get the ebook of Chasing Impossible because I NEED all of Katie’s work. She’s amazing. For those of you who didn’t get a chance to pre-order it, I believe they extended the date so you can still obtain the book when it’s published.
Caged In Winter (Caged In Winter #1) by Brighton Walsh – I have heard great things about this novel in particular and Brighton Walsh in general.
Twenty Boy Summer by Sarah Ockler – I love the cover! It’s so pretty and unique!
Out Of Breath (Breathing #3) by Rebecca Donovan – I still need to get a copy of Barely Breathing, but I couldn’t resist grabbing this when it was cheap!

For Review
From Author
The Avery Shaw Experiment by Kelly Oram
The Avery Shaw Experiment by Kelly Oram – I’m ssssoooooo excited about this. This is the first book that introduced me to Kelly’s name and I never got a chance to read it before, but I do now and I can’t wait to get started!

Audiobooks 5-30-15
Smokin’ Seventeen (Stephanie Plum #17) by Janet Evanovich – Confession? I have only read the first book in this series and I don’t know IF I’ll ever get around to reading the rest of the series, but this was one $0.50, so I had to grab it immediately.

I had a pretty great haul this week! What did you get? Let me know in the comments!

    • I hope you enjoy it as much as I did! I wouldn’t say that it’s better than Breaking The Limits (because you can’t top Noah), but it’s pretty close!
