Inspired by Pop Culture Junkie and the Story Siren, the aim of Showcase Sunday is to highlight our newest books or book related swag and to see what everyone else received for review, borrowed from libraries, bought in bookshops and downloaded onto eReaders each week. Always A Witch (Witch #2) by Carolyn MacCullough – I really loved this series, so it made me very happy when I found a copy of this cheap. I actually bought this one last week, but it was late on Saturday and I had already typed up my Showcase Sunday post for that week. I got this one, The Raven Boys, My Sweetest Escape, Bad Romeo, and Crown Of Midnight at this cool used bookstore that I discovered last weekend. Regardless, I’m stoked to have a copy of this to go with my copy of Once A Witch.
The Raven Boys (The Raven Cycle #1) by Maggie Stiefvater – I didn’t think I would ever get my hands on a hardback copy of this. It’s not that it’s particularly difficult to find a hardcover, but I figured when I found a copy, it would be a paperback.
Mothership (Ever-Expanding Universe #1) by Martin Leicht & Isla Neal – I LOVED this book. It was one of the funniest books I read in 2012, back when PulseIt kept books up for more than a week so I could actually read the entire thing. I went out of my way to get the original cover because I think it’s so perfect for the series and I’m not a fan of the remade cover.
Simon Vs The Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli – I drive to Decatur GA yesterday to meet the amazing Becky Albertalli. Little Shop Of Stories had a launch party for this book and I was beyond excited to attend. I really loved Simon. I already had a copy of the book, but I like to support the shops that do book events, so I bought an additional copy for her to sign. I plan on giving it away soon, so keep you’re eyes peeled for that!
My Sweetest Mistake (My Favorite Mistake #2) by Chelsea M Cameron – I haven’t read any books in this series yet, but my baby sister loved the first one, so I’m excited to get a copy of book 2!
Bad Romeo (Starcrossed #1) by Leisa Rayven – This sounds pretty good and it has a pretty cover.
Crown Of Midnight (Throne Of Glass #2) by Sarah J Maas – I had to grab this when I saw it in the used bookstore. Sarah will be in Charlotte next month and I definitely need to get this so I can have it signed!
Throne Of Glass (Throne Of Glass #1) by Sarah J Maas – After I bought Crown Of Midnight, I had to get a copy of the first novel in the series. Amazon was having a pretty awesome special on it because it was on $6 and change!
The Ever After Of Ella & Micha (The Secret #4) by Jessica Sorensen – I now have the entire set of main books in this series! Now I just need the novellas.
Simon Vs The Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli from Dana Squared – I was so excited to get this. I adored this book and Simon and his whole world. I’m even more excited now that I have it signed. I was actually pretty bummed because Becky was having a signing in GA in a few months, but I couldn’t attend because it would be on a weekday. Then I checked her website and saw that she was having an event on the 11th and I did everything possible to get there. It was a 4 hour drive, but it was totally worth it!
Before The Fall: Arrival (Embassy Row #0.5) by Ally Carter – I haven’t read much by Ally Carter, but I really enjoyed the things I have gotten to read!
A Good Debutante’s Guide To Ruin (The Debutante Files #1) by Sophie Jordan – I haven’t yet read a Sophie Jordan historical romance, but I have read a YA and her NA’s, so I’m sure this will be equally as enthralling!
Last To Know (Willow Creek #1) by Micalea Smeltzer – Her novels look so good!
Cinder X (Death Collectors #2) by Jessica Sorensen – I have an eARC of Spark X, so I needed this to understand that!
Return To Sender (Letters To Nowhere #2) by Julie Cross – I recently finished Letters To Nowhere and I LOVED it, so naturally I want more of Karen and Jordan.
Shadow Demons (Peachville High #4) by Sarra Cannon – I have only read the first book in this series, but my sister is crazy for it, so I went ahead and grabbed this will it was cheap!
Scion (Supernaturals #3) by Kelly Oram – I loved (LOVED LOVED) Kelly’s Cinder and Ella, so I plan to binge my way through the rest of her books and I jumped at the chance to read this!
I got a tiny bit of swag from the Simon signing. Don’t worry, I grabbed some extra’s for you guys!
That’s all for me this week! Not a bad haul, if I do say so myself! What did you get? Let me know in the comments!
