Inspired by Pop Culture Junkie and the Story Siren, the aim of Showcase Sunday is to highlight our newest books or book related swag and to see what everyone else received for review, borrowed from libraries, bought in bookshops and downloaded onto eReaders each week. PHYSICAL BOOKS
Purchased
Sweethearts by Sara Zarr – This sounds cute and Zarr will be at YA’ll Fest in November. π
The Diamond Secret by Suzanne Weyn – My sister has been looking for a copy of this forever, so I had to pick it up when I saw it. Let’s hope it’s as awesome as it looks.
Won
Sacrfice (Elemental #5) by Brigid Kemmerer – I won this forever ago from Rachel at The Rest Is Still Unwritten. I had the option to get Secret (which I adored) or a preorder of Sacrifice and I chose Sacrifice because I was dying for Michael’s story. I was lucky enough to get a EARC of Sacrifice so I’ve already read it (you can read my review here) and it’s pretty awesome, so I’m happy to have a physical copy.
DIGITAL BOOKS
Amazon Freebies
Indecent (The Cage Sessions #1) by Skylar Cross – It’s free!
A Starstruck Kiss (Wrapped Up In Love #1) by Lauren Blakely – I’ve downloaded a bunch of her other books, so I can’t resist grabbing this too. I just love her covers!
Chasing Luck (Serendipity #1) by Brinda Berry – Sounds good and it was free!
This Night So Dark (Starbound #1.5) by Meagan Spponer & Amie Kaufman – I’ve not read any of the books in this series yet, but I just love the concept of them.
AUDIO BOOKS
Purchased
Speechless by Hannah Harrington – I actually didn’t get this book this week. I got it a few weeks back and completely forgot to include it. I’m pretty excited about it. It sounds very unlike anything I’ve read yet.
SWAG
While attending Kelly Oram’s Cinder & Ella release day party on Facebook, I won a swag pack. I’m so terribly excited about all of it. I know my review isn’t up for this book yet, but I’m telling you that it’s awesome. It’s hands down the best Cinderella retelling I’ve ever read. I’m especially happy about the posters. π
Books wise, I didn’t get much this week, but I love the swag. I can’t wait until I can get some frames to hang them up in my library.
I was so excited to hear that there was a novella for These Broken Stars. I absolutely loved it so I’m really looking forward to This Night So Dark! Enjoy π
Becca @ Lost in Thought
My Showcase Sunday!
Me too! I’m a sucker for the free middle novellas. π
