Showcase Sunday #50

Showcase Sunday

Inspired by Pop Culture Junkie and the Story Siren, the aim of Showcase Sunday is to highlight our newest books or book related swag and to see what everyone else received for review, borrowed from libraries, bought in bookshops and downloaded onto eReaders each week. PHYSICAL BOOKS
New books 10-4-14

For Review
Darling Beast (Maiden Lane #7) by Elizabeth Hoyt – I’m so excited about getting this. I’ve always wanted to read Hoyt’s work because I’ve heard great things, but I’ve just never had an opportunity until now. Plus, I love the cover. The UK cover is so much prettier than the US one.
Only Enchanting (The Survivor’s Club #4) by Mary Balogh – Balogh is also an author I’ve heard great things about but just never gotten a chance to read. I’m excited!

DIGITAL BOOKS
Amazon Freebies
Off Sides by Sawyer BennettLost In Me by Lexi RyanLessons In Love by Clarissa CarlyleBeautiful Demons Boxed Set by Sarra Cannon
Off Sides (Off #1) by Sawyer Bennett – My baby sister loves this book so I couldn’t pass it up when I saw it for free!
Lost In Me (Here & Now #1) by Lexi Ryan – No particular reason. It sounds good. It’s free.
Lessons In Love (Lessons In Love #1) by Clarissa Carlyle – Same comment as above.
Beautiful Demons Boxed Set (Beautiful Demons #1, #2, & #3) by Sarra Cannon – I actually already have all three of these individually, but I couldn’t resist grabbing the set while they were free.

For Review
Edelweiss
Catch A Falling Heiress by Laura Lee Guhrke
Catch A Falling Heiress (An American Heiress In London #3) by Laura Lee Gurhke – I love Laura’s previous work and all the books in this series, so I can’t wait to jump into this. 🙂

SWAG
Swag 10-4-14
I got the Michelle Madow swag as a consolation prize when I didn’t win an ARC of her latest novel and the Amy Plum bookplate for posting a review of one of her books on Amazon. I’m pretty happy about both.

OTHER NEWS
Renaissance Festival Photo
So this weekend is opening weekend for the Carolina Renaissance Festival and, being the nerd I am, I had to go. While there, among the other awesome people and things, was this guy. He’s costume was so amazing there aren’t words. I love it.

What did you get this week? Let me know in the comments!
