SWAG
Swag 7-19-14
A local(ish) Barnes And Noble was having a big future event promoting swag giveaway and they had a whole table full of these goodies. I especially love the dragon poster. It’s so gorgeous. I may have grabbed a thing or two extra to for the giveaway pile for you guys. πŸ˜‰

That’s fine in normal bookish news, but this week I have some other things I’d like to show off. Plus, I like the personal touch of sharing some of my fangirling with the world.

OTHER THINGS
Doctor Who
Doctor Who shirts
So last weekend I finally gave in and watched Doctor Who. I had been avoiding it because I knew the actor changes would bothering and the whole fact that the first “series” starts with the 9th Doctor. Shouldn’t it be the 9th series? I get that it’s a reboot and TV show/film makers don’t like to spell that out, but it still bugs me. Also, I don’t always get along well with things that have super mainstream success. Anyway, I blew through the “first” series pretty quickly. I love Christopher Eccleston. He’s just fantastic! I’m only a little ways into the second series, but so far I don’t like Tennant as much. I know that’s blasphemy because it’s pretty agreed on that he’s the best Doctor, but thus far, I like Eccleston a bit better. We’ll see if that changes. I made a point to try to get some Doctor Who paraphernalia this weekend and I might have went a little overboard. Above are the three shirts I got and below is my jewelry and buttons.
Doctor Who Jewelry

My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic
My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic necklaces
I have been a MLP fan for a good bit now and a few months back, you could find these little packets with dogtag necklaces EVERYWHERE for $3 a pack. I bought a bunch, but before I knew it there were all gone (except from Hot Topic where they wanted $5.50 for them) and I was sad. This week, I saw a few packs at my local WalMart and I just had to grab them. I was even lucky enough to not get any duplicates. ^-^

Other
Necklace & sticker
Lastly, I got the adorable Toothless sticker and the robot necklace. I love both to bits and I couldn’t resist sharing them with you.

That’s it for this week! What did you get? Are you a Doctor Who or My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic fan as well? Let me know in the comments!
