Accomplish by Eireann Corrigan – It sounds very interesting, plus the cover makes me think of Roswell. XP
Anatomy Of A Boyfriend (Anatomy #1) by Daria Snadowsky – Interesting concept, adorable cover, and cheap price? Gimme!
Dairy Queen (Dairy Queen #1) by Catherine Gilbert Murdock – I’ve been wanting to get my hands on this for a while. 🙂
Abandon (Abandon Trilogy #1) by Meg Cabot – I used to be a big Cabot fan, I loved the first few Princess Diaries, but I haven’t read any of her newer stuff. I’m excited to get a chance to!
The Debutante by Kathryn Williams – I LOVE the cover and it reminds me just a bit of She’s The Man.
Cardcaptor Sakura: Master Of The Clow, Volume 1 (Cardcaptor Sakura #7/Master Of The Clow #1) by Clamp – I LOVED the show as a child and I’ve been looking for a copy of the first one of any of the mangas for a while. I’m so happy to have found it.
Cardcaptor Sakura: Master Of The Clow, Volume 2 (Cardcaptor Sakura #8/Master Of The Clow #2) by Clamp – They also had #2. 🙂
Heiress P.I. by Amanda Mahan – Veronica Mars meets Gossip Girl? GIMME!
Perfect Couple (Superlatives #1) by Jennifer Echols – I really enjoyed the first book in this series, so I can’t wait to dive into this!
A local(ish) Barnes And Noble was having a big future event promoting swag giveaway and they had a whole table full of these goodies. I especially love the dragon poster. It’s so gorgeous. I may have grabbed a thing or two extra to for the giveaway pile for you guys. 😉
That’s fine in normal bookish news, but this week I have some other things I’d like to show off. Plus, I like the personal touch of sharing some of my fangirling with the world.
So last weekend I finally gave in and watched Doctor Who. I had been avoiding it because I knew the actor changes would bothering and the whole fact that the first “series” starts with the 9th Doctor. Shouldn’t it be the 9th series? I get that it’s a reboot and TV show/film makers don’t like to spell that out, but it still bugs me. Also, I don’t always get along well with things that have super mainstream success. Anyway, I blew through the “first” series pretty quickly. I love Christopher Eccleston. He’s just fantastic! I’m only a little ways into the second series, but so far I don’t like Tennant as much. I know that’s blasphemy because it’s pretty agreed on that he’s the best Doctor, but thus far, I like Eccleston a bit better. We’ll see if that changes. I made a point to try to get some Doctor Who paraphernalia this weekend and I might have went a little overboard. Above are the three shirts I got and below is my jewelry and buttons.
My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic
I have been a MLP fan for a good bit now and a few months back, you could find these little packets with dogtag necklaces EVERYWHERE for $3 a pack. I bought a bunch, but before I knew it there were all gone (except from Hot Topic where they wanted $5.50 for them) and I was sad. This week, I saw a few packs at my local WalMart and I just had to grab them. I was even lucky enough to not get any duplicates. ^-^
Lastly, I got the adorable Toothless sticker and the robot necklace. I love both to bits and I couldn’t resist sharing them with you.
That’s it for this week! What did you get? Are you a Doctor Who or My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic fan as well? Let me know in the comments!
